Voila mon problème: j'ai installé un nouveau lecteur de backup sur un serveur et au redémarrage de celui ici windows se bloc au lancement de windows. J'ai tout essayé de retirer le lecteur, redémmaré en mode sans echec mais rien a faire le démmarage bloc sur le fichiermup.sys
 
Qqun peut-il m'aider ?

Enlève tes cartes PCI une à une jusqu'à ce que tu arrives à booter normalement.
 
edit : il semblerait que ce soit souvent des cartes USB 2.0 qui posent problème

OK, I had a similar problem on 4 different customer machines (all were XP Home and all happened right after a Windows Update patch application), and solved them all the same way w/out loss of data on any. Had 8 others before the recent 4 that I was actually successful with fixing. (No loss of data).
 
First item, no easy way back in helped, on each (due to failures of other routes tried previously on other systems that all resulted in reformats), all I did was disconnect all add in cards and other hardware items not needed to boot first (CD Drive, Floppy Drive, add in cards like Modem, NIC, sound cards, etc), upon boot up tap F8 and keep trying to load into Safe Mode w/out networking features repeatedly until it does complete successfully. 1 machine took 51 attempts, another just 6 attempts. All eventually did restart in Safe Mode though that hang after mup.sys or after/at agp.sys makes you think it won't. Just be patient, as it will sit there after the load of mup.sys and the HDD may thrash away....It will either restart (re-loop), or it will boot, so patience is key.
 
Then once in actual Safe Mode, I ran a Disk Dr. Scan because I had NSW w/ utilities installed on all, (I know it may say the scanners won't work in Safe Mode, but they do), then scheduled a disk check and repair (Disk Dr. each time showed errors w/ Security Descriptors that have to be fixed w/ disk check only.
 
I then always re-installed updated (or last known working copies), of the Video Drivers just in case (on 1 I had to actually remove & delete the folder of Video Card Drivers and just install the Windows Standard VGA drivers). You can fix that later once booting properly again. Rollback option for drivers also avail.
 
Then in order to run the diskcheck on re-boot I did. Took almost 4 hrs. on each machine to run the disk check, but they all did and fixed the Security Descriptors problem and without any loss of data on any of them. Or you could use the Recovery Console option and run "dskchk /r" or "diskchk /p" to accomplish the same thing.
 
I have reported the problem to MS, but of course they say the patches are fine...I say the problem is too widespread for that to be the case as most report the problem right after recent patch applications.(ADOBD.stream or the latest IE patches).

You can also shut off the Auto Restart upon Error item once booted into Safe Mode, which will give you the correct stack dump blue screen but the error won't really tell you much besides the fact that it is a disk problem (the aforementioned Security Descriptors errors).
 
 
Start>Settings>Control Panel>System>Advanced Tab>Startup & Recovery Section>Settings Button>Un-Check the Automatically Restart box>Apply>OK>Re-Start Computer. It will Blue Screen w/ the actual Error and halt the computer and the load of Windows. Write down all info in the error and contact MS. A hard shutdown will be necessary to continue.
 
Remember later to reset that item.

J'ai eu exactement le même problème en changeant un streamer sous Windows 2000.
 
Le serveur reste bloqué environ 1h30 sur cet endroit (mup.sys est la dernière ligne que tu vois en mode sans échec), puis il va booter et fonctionner normalement (par chance je suis allé manger un morceau et en revenant quelle n'a pas été ma surprise de le trouver démarré et fonctionnel). Mais il faut vraiment patienter, car à y voir comme celà il donne vraiment l'impression d'être planté...
 
Il est probable que si tu enlèves la carte SCSI (pour autant qu'elle ne soit pas onboard) il boot immédiatement.
 
Ce qui a été fait :
- Mettre à jour le pilote de la carte SCSI (Adaptec U160)
- Mettre à jour le pilote du streamer (c'est ce qui a résolu le problème, pour moi il s'agissait d'un DAT DDS4 de Seagate vendu par IBM et le pilote du précédent lecteur foutait sa merde)
