il suffit de modifier ton fichier xorg.conf au bon endroit

Malheureusement, j'ai essayé la manip et cela n'a rien changé. D'abords ça a planté lorque j'ai voulu relancer X, et ensuite j'ai eu le même problème d'affichage en sélectionnant une résolution de 1680*1050. Cependant j'ai regardé mon fichier xorg.conf lorque l'écran ne veut pas afficher d'image graphique, et il est différent de celui que j'ai posté plus haut.

Tout se passe comme si mandriva pense que la resolution est bien de 1680x1050, mais que l'écran dit que ce n'est pas la bonne résolution.
Le problème vient de la configuration de l'écran, de la carte graphique ou de l'OS ? (Pourtant tout marche bien sous windows)

Bonjour à tous,
je suis débutant sous linux et je voulais essayer mandriva 2007. Malheureusement je n'arrive pas à mettre une résolution de 1680*1050. Le mieux que je puisse faire est 1600*1200. Mon écran est un SyncMaster 225bw de Samsung.
J'ai installé les derniers drivers d'ATI mais ça n'y fait rien, quand je sélectionne la résolution 1680*1050 et que je teste, l'écran devient noir et un petit message s'affiche disant que la résolution choisi n'est pas optimale et que je devrai choisir une résolution de 1680*1050 60Hz...
