It was 11 pm past and jacque Sauniere had not still appeared. Langdon, tired by the conference, decided to go to rest in its room, in the hotel Noksi. Arrived at this one, he opened it and went to the small piece of furniture where he had stored the letter that had sent him two weeks previously his old friend, SAUNIER. The letter was an invitation for a conference which was held in Paris.  Langdon had accepted the invitation on one hand because he always was to intereser by the conferences on the art history, which were pronounced by specialists, but which addresses a wide public. And particularly, that, current, concerning the relations which maintained the art and the religion. And on the other hand because many years are crossed since his last meeting with SAUNIERE. But strangely this last one not either to the conference or to the usual meeting with Langdon from not every conference. Langdon supposed that he had to be sick, where to have rather important concerns to appear at the conference. Langdon, decided to go, the next day, to visit him in the Louvre, where he is the curator.

It was past 11 pm and Jacques Saunière still hadn't shown up. Langdon, tired from the conference, decided to go back to the Noksi hotel to rest in his room. Once there, he opened the door and went to the small piece of furniture in which he had stored the letter sent to him two week before by his old friend, Saunier. The letter was an invitation to a conference held in Paris. Langdon had accepted the invitation because, for one, he had always been interested in conferences about art history, especially when they were aimed at a wide public but were still held by specialists. He was particularly interested in the relationship between religion and art. On the other hand, it had been a long time since his last meeting with Sauniere. Strangely however, he had not turned up for the conference, nor was he there after the conference to meet with Langdon as they usually did. Langdon supposed he was sick, or had something particularly important on his mind, important enough to miss the conference. Langdon decided he would visit him at the Louvre the following day, where Saunier was the curator.
