J'ai fait plusieurs recherches concernant un problème sur le DELL Vostro 15 3510, sous Windows 11 et j'ai fini par trouver une solution, que je partage ici ! Ce message n'attend donc pas spécialement de réponse.
 
Lorsqu'on branche une deuxième écran (moniteur externe) sur un DELL Vostro 15 3510 (genre un écran très haute résolution ou ultra wide), et bien la résolution est limitée à 1920x1080 (1080p). Pas d'autres résolutions proposées par Windows.
Pourtant le processeur (Intel Core i5-1135 G7 dans mon cas) gère tout à fait des résolutions plus hautes !
Ceci est dû au pilote Dell du chipset graphique Intel Iris Xe Graphics, qui induit une (odieuse) limitation logicielle, qu'il faut rétrograder.
 
Voici la marche à suivre (que j'ai rédigé en anglais à des fins de référencement) :
1. Ensure you own DELL Vostro 15 3510
2. Disable Windows Update for one week
3. Download DDU (https://www.guru3d.com/download/display-driver-uninstaller-download)
4. Unzip DDU (twice if necessary)
5. Run Driver Display Uninstaller application
6. In the material type list, select "GPU"
7. Uninstall the driver by clicking "Clean and DO NOT restart" (your screen will turn black few seconds)
8. Wait until the end of the process
9. Open the Windows Device Manager
10. Check the Driver Under "Graphical card" to be "Basic Microsoft Driver"
11. Download Intel UHD/Iris version 30.0.101.1338, A04 (https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=8wpc8&oscode=wt64a&productcode=vostro-15-3510-laptop) : (Use the "Download current version instead link" )
12. Click on the file, and select "Unzip"
13. Using File Explorer, go to the folder, and g depth until you found Installer.exe
14. Install the driver
15. Wait until the end of the process
16. You can now select higher resolution on the secondary monitor
17. To kkep that changes for a long time : Open gpedit.msc
18. Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update
19. Activate "Manage updates offered from Windows Update" (select the Enabled option)
