Q: I have a Compatible Systems router going over a 28.8K US Robotics dial-up to a Windows NT RAS server. I've got the system partially working but keep getting rejected by the RAS server with no error message to help me troubleshoot.
The RAS server negotiates CHAP as one of the PPP LPC options. CHAP encrypts the passwords. There are two types of encryption: DES and MD5. The original PPP specification called for MD5, which we support. RAS uses DES. We reject that CHAP option during negotiation. RAS didn't like that and would drop the link. We NAK the CHAP DES request. In that case the RAS requests PAP, which we do support. Enable PAP on the RAS server instead of CHAP.

j'ai ce souci, et j'ai vu (cf post associé) que d'autres l'ont eut egalement
y t'il une incompatibilité entre ce qu'attends le serveur RAS de windows et ce qu'envoie un cisco ?
j'essaye de mettre en place la chose suivante :
un cisco c3660 qui lors d'un acces a une IP definie, monte automatiquement la liaison en appelant un serveur w2000 RAS (qui ets la machine qu'on cherche a joindre) et en se faisant rappeler par celle ci
vu le prix de l'engin, je ne doute pas qu'il peut faire ca, la question est comment ? je precise que dans ma boite, les docs disparaissent naturellement, donc le manuel (ou les manuels) de ce cisco, on les a pas ...

RIGDIE : nom du serveur RAS qu'on essaye de joindre
VILLEUR_IP : nom du routeur ici, qu'est ce que ca fout dans la transaction PPP ?
et ca envoye pas le user/pass
je capte rien
en rouge : waiting for quoi ??
ca arrive bien jusqu'au pc, le lcp se negocie nickel, mais pas moyen d'avoir l'authentification dans windows
j'arrive pas a trouver la syntaxe pour faire un dialer 100% compatible PPP (normalement, d'apres crosoft, leur serveur RAS est compatible PPP, quelque soit le fabricant)
entre les ppp chap, les hostname et les remote user chepakoi, on est paumé (on a pas la doc du cisco catalyst)
bref si quelqu'un a une idee
ici la config du cisco (+ / - corespondante au log du dessous, mais bon on a fait tellement de tests (en pap, en chap, sans pass, cowboy ...)
