windows update

Bonjour. Depuis quelques temps, je n'ai plus de mise à jour automatique de windows update et lorsque j'essaie d'y accéder manuellement, je tombe sur une page blanche. J'ai essayé de désacticer mon antivirus/pare-feu Bitdefender, mais sans effet. Auriez-vous rencontré ce pb ? Merci d'avance.

Je suis sous Windows XP SP. Sur la page support microsoft, une indication me donne :
"ren%systemroot%\system32\catroot2\Edb.log*.tst" ==> chemin accès introuvable. Ceci peut-il éclairer quelqu'un ? Merci

Quand j'utilise ce lien, je tombe sur une page où je ne peux pas consulter les mises à jour, alors que si je vais sur le lien "http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/catalog/fr/", j'ai tout ce qu'il me faut , et que j'avais avant!! Comment se fait-il que je ne puisse plus accéder aux màj sue ce lien ou à partir de "démarrer" ?

Aussi, mais la vérification ne se fait pas à ce niveau.

Change the registry string value SelfupdateStatus to 0 in the HKLM\microsoft\windows\currentversion\windowsupdate\IUcontrol registry key by following the
instructions below:
1. Click "Start", and then click "Run."
2. In the "Run" box, type regedit, and click "OK."
3. Browse in the left pane to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\microsoft\windows\currentversion\windowsupdate\IUcontrol.
4. Double click SelfupdateStatus in the right pane.
5. Change the value to 0, and then click "OK."
6. Restart the computer.

MinouX: si c'était juste un pb de licence windows, je ne galèrerais pas depuis deux jours. Merci, ma licence est OK.
Quant à la procédure du lien d'ilien83, j'ai essayé sans succès la première partie mais je ne suis pas chaud pour me lancer dans une modif du registre. N'y aurait-il pas une autre solution ?

Ben, ce sont les conseils de Microsoft himself...

Chez moi, j'ai eu le même problème, résolu en tapant le lien direct récupéré sur un autre pc..

Sinon, il y a d'autres options sur le lien.

Quand au message d'erreur, probablement une erreur dans le fichier Edb.log
Ce fichier est utilisé par wupdmgr.exe, lancé en cliquant sur "Windows Update" dans le menu démarrer.

Tu as fait un checkdisk récemment ?

Une vérification du disque, CHKDSK /F ou /R par exemple..

Possible que le fichier soit corrompu.

Je viens de refaire un essai sur le site de Microsoft; je parviens à télécharger les dernières mises à jour de Windows XP (sur mon bureau), mais lorsque je veux activer le setup, j'ai un message qui me dit que le setup ne peut pas mettre à jour Windows XP car le langage installé sur la machine est différent du langage de l'update (ceci pour les trois mises à jour : KB 883939-890923 et 894391). Je m'enfonce !!!

A priori, je viens de régler le problème avec Microsoft Baseline Security Analyser 1.2.1; c'est un outil pratique et efficace. Pourvu que ça dure !!
