Origine : Mozilla Application Suite est dérivé de Netscape Navigator . C'est un logiciel libre (donc notamment gratuit) téléchargeable sur www.mozilla.org .  
n'oubliez lors de l'installation de permettre le lancement rapide en cochant la petite case prévue à cet effet : une icone s'incrustera dans votre barre windows en bas.
Koitece ? Mozilla Application Suite comprend un navigateur, un logiciel de rédaction/gestion de courriels, un logiciel de création/modification de pages web etc. bref, la trousse à outils complete, à partir d'une même interface. Il est disponible pour windows, apple et linux
En français c'est possible ? Il existe des traductions en français du butineur. Mais étant donné le peu d'importance de l'interface, ceux qui baraguinent un peu l'angliche pourront prendre la version anglaise, toujours plus récente. Et puis si vous rajoutez des extensions, celles-si sont rarement traduites et vos menus seront en deux langues...
En option : Les extensions, justement, permettent de personnaliser le butineur et de lui ajouter les options de votre choix : allez faire un tour ici : http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/ .
Une extension fait l'unanimité : TBE (Tabbrowser extensions) qui optimise la navigation par onglet...terrible.
Vous trouverez aussi des jeux : blockfall par exemple (tetris-like) et pleins d'autres extensions originales.
 
Parmi les interets de Mozilla, à mon sens, je citerais : sa robustesse, sa gratuité, la fréquence de ses mises à jour, ses fonctionalités (ha, la gestion des cookies, motsde passe, pop ups etc.), son look et surtout, son côté alternatif et libre qui n'en fait pas une cible pour les pirates et diffuseurs de virus en tous genres. bref, sortez couverts

Newsgroups improvements, including vCard support, a preference to
remove mail from a POP server after x days, a setting that places the

addition, NTLM authentication is now supported on all platforms, the
automatic page translation function has been restored and several
stability and security bugs have been fixed. The Gecko rendering

Brendan Eich has updated the Mozilla Development Roadmap, adding a
note that the Mozilla Foundation has no plans to retire the Mozilla
Application Suite in the near future and will continue to release
updates to the program, also known as SeaMonkey. This means that users
of the Mozilla Application Suite will continue to benefit from changes
made to core components such as the Gecko rendering engine and the
Necko networking library. However, no major updates are planned for
the frontend user interface, as the Foundation still wants to focus
innovation in this area on the standalone applications, such as
Mozilla Firebird and Mozilla Thunderbird. Sustaining the Mozilla
Application Suite will benefit enterprises and other organisations
that have standardised on Mozilla 1.x, as well as providing a smooth
upgrade path for users of the discontinued Netscape browser and other
derivatives of SeaMonkey. A major Roadmap overhaul, outlining the path
to Mozilla 2.0 and the future of the open Web, is planned for later
this month.

sinon je suis toujours sous la version 1.5 que je trouve nikel. Je voudrais savoir pour cette 1.6 si ils ont ameliore la rapidite concernant le chargement des pages.

Mozilla a maintenant un outil de traduction des pages : qui arrive à l'avoir en français ? par défaut, la traduction se fait en anglais...
