Je n'ai jamais vraiment eu de Linux installé sur mon ordi, alors quand j'ai entendu parler de Mandriva 2007 et sa super interface graphique j'ai voulu l'installer.
 
Mon problème : juste après l'avoir installer, premier démarrage, l'interface graphique ne se lance pas.
 
J'ai essayé de mettre à jour ou de réinstaller en changeant les pilotes de la carte graphique (Ati/Radeon(vesa), Ati/Radeon(fbdev), Ati/Radeon, Xorg/Ati...), ainsi que la résolution, mais rien n'y fait.
 
Lorsque j'essaie de lancer startx, le message d'erreur suivant apparaît : (EE) no devices found.
 
J'ai vu sur de nombreux forums que le même problème s'est déjà présenté avec Mandriva 2006, certains articles proposaient des solutions (choisir le pilote vesa de xorg et non les pilotes ati propriétaires, télécharger des pilotes, etc.)
 
J'ai une carte ATI Radeon X800 GT, un écran plat Samsung SyncMaster 913v et un processeur AMD Athlon X2 3800+
 
J'ai essayé d'installer la version 64 bits de Mandriva 2007.
 
 
Quelqu'un peut-il me dire clairement ce que je peux faire pour que cette interface graphique s'affiche ??? Je ne suis apparemment pas le seul à avoir ce problème. Merci.

pourrais tu préciser la version installée ?
la live one , la version gnome ; la version free etc etc.
Ensuite dans un second temps quel driver as tu choisi au moment de l'installation ?
le driver libre ? le driver proprietaire ?
peux tu fournir des logs ? ( /var/log/Xorg.0.log )  
 

version free
driver choisi : proprietaire radeon
puis j'ai essayé avec le proprietaire Radeon(vesa)
puis avec celui de Xorg : vesa
et aussi Xorg : ati
 
le log comment je fais pour le recuperer sous windows stp ?

ok en fait le problème doit être lié a une instruction manquante dans la configuration de xorg.conf .
peux tu éditer ce fichier et rajouter au niveau de la section device  
 Option "MonitorLayout" "TMDS,AUTO"
et ensuite relance X .
en ce qui concerne la lecture des logs a partir de windows , cela dépend du type de partition que tu utilises.
Si par hasard c'est ext3 il y a des drivers sous windows disponible .

J'ai réussi à récupérer le log que je viens de poster via une disquette,
et j'ai trouvé le fichier /boot/config
 
c'est celui-là que je dois éditer ?
 
quelle commande permet d'éditer un fichier ? j'ai essayé edit, nedit... ces commandes n'existent pas.

le fichier a édité est /etc/X11/xorg.conf
ensuite tu peux utiliser vim
(vi /etc/X11/xorg.conf en root ).
:wq pour enregistrer et quitter le fichier.

ton écran n'est semble t'il pas trouvé .
essayes de relancer en root XFdrake dans un premier temps afin de configurer xorg

1. tu devrais installer plutôt la version 2007 One gnome ou kde car elles contiennent les pilotes ATI.
 
2. sinon tu peux installer les pilotes ATI après coup :

• ajoute les médias main, contrib, plf-free et plf-nonfree : http://easyurpmi.zarb.org

• installes les pilotes ATI et les sources du noyau :

• utilises drakx11 pour dire au système d'utiliser les pilotes ATI ( fglrx ) puis redémarre.

3. si le problème persiste, essaye de désactiver l'APIC :

4. n'oublie de spécifier "écran Plug&Play", si cela nemarche pas, alors spécifie soit l'écran précis si il est listé, soit un écran générique ayant des caractéristiques proches
