installe radeon 8500 sur debian en DRM/DRI : pb !!!! ke faire ??? - Installation - Linux et OS Alternatifs

salut
 
j ai donc une radeon 8500 built by ATI, sur une debian + xfree 4.2.0
 
or je ne sais pas comment activer la 3D :D
 
comment faire ??
1. Utiliser les drivers ATI ??? (rpm transformes en .deb ki ne s installent po:()
2. Utiliser les drivers Gatos (c est koi ce truc??? :D)
3. Utiliser le DRI ??
4. attendre xfree 4.3 en esperant le support de ma carte ??
 
bref je ne sais pas kelle technique utiliser, surtout car j ai pas envie de tout peter encore !!

Le DRI est dans la branche instable mais utilisable. Regarde l'archive de la mailing liste, cette semaine quelqu'un a posté comment il a réussi à la faire marcher sur RH8
 
Pour les drivers ATI, oui mais utilise alien pour transformer le rpm en deb
 
Pour XFree 4.3 c'est toi qui vois...

j ai donc suivi le tutorial de ati.fr.st (installation du drm ou dri, je sais plus :D)
 
et bah ca marche tjs po :(
 
pour les drivers ati, je les ai transformes en .deb, mais dpkg me jette car le package veut ecraser un fichier de xfree, donc ...
 
donc si klk pouvais m aider, ca serait cool :hello:

tu as pris les dernier drivers DRI?

un dernier truc..
fait une recherche du fichier radeon.o (find /lib/modules -iname radeon.o)
supprime le (si il y en a un)
 
puis copie les fichiers
cp dripkg/r200/* /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/
cp dripkg/core/libdrm.a /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/linux/
cp dripkg/core/libdri.a /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/
 
cd dripkg/drm
make -f Makefile.linux

sinon, je me rappele ke lorsque j ai lance le script (sh install.sh), au bout de klk questions, il a verifie des trucs, et j ai vu ke des fichiers genre GL* manquait (d apres ce k il disait)
 
ca peut venir de ca ou j ai encore fume ???
 
sinon, ou trouver ces fichiers (pour les installer), car j en aurai surement besoin pour la 3D (ds les jeux en fait)

bon, ets ce ke tu crois ke si j installe xfree 4.99.3 (par dessus le 4.2.0, car j ai installe xfree en ayant dl les binaires depuis xfree.orf, pas par apt :D) + les drivers gatos ca marcherai ???

j'espere que ca pourra t'aider (si t'as un truc genre DRI qui se lance pas version 4.1.0 excepted 3.X.X, c'est a cause des DRI moi j'ai desinstaller et reinstaller le package xserver-xfree86 avec apt-get et ca a remis ca en ordre)
 
En esperant que ca pourra t'aider :)

le pb c est que j ai installe xfree a l ancienne :D
j ai donc pris les binaires sur xfree.org, puis lance Xinstall.sh
 
donc je sais pas comment le virer now :(
 
je pense ke je vais le reinstaller par dessus :D
