j'ai installer la mandrake 8.2 non sans mal, puisque ma gef IV n'etait pas reconnue
J'ai cru bon de feinter en installant d'abord avec une gef 2 mx, d'installer tous les pilotes nvidia et ensuite remettre ma gef IV mais sa marche pas

Salut ben deja si ta GF 4 n'est pas reconnue ce qui m'etonnes mais bon c un detail essaye de mettre  a jour ton XFree sinon pour les drivers nvidia c pas trop dur a installer regarde

sinon j'ai suivie l'excellent guide de darkshneider pour l'install mais bon ca marche pas  
 
Le truc le plus énervant c'est dans le logxfree, le fait qu'il cherche a activer le device ge force 2 (generic) alors que ce device n'est pas dans mon fichier de config xfree, y'a d'autres fichiers cache que je ne connais pas ??

si tu installes les drivers nvidia, ta geforce 4 sera reconnue

la les log que je viens de mettre son apres installation des pilotes en suivant le howto de darkshneider, je suis parti de source rpm et tout a parfaitement fonctionné (pas de message d'erreur pendant les installes )

Tu as mis ton fichier de conf Xfree en entier là ?
 
Si c'est le cas, il lui manque qq morceaux...

T'aurais pas un fichier complet histoire de voir ce qu'il manque ??
