"A consumer watchdog organization in the UK is reporting that PS2 owners there are having serious troubles with their new consoles. According to BBC Online, one in five owners contacted them with reports that their PS2s have never functioned. The report also claims that 28 percent of consumers' machines ran just once, 39 percent are unable to run games, and 13 percent cannot run DVDs. One consumer's defective unit was determined to have blown a fuse following one use. Although SCEA has fielded complaints regarding defective machines in the U.S., the number of reports has not matched those in the UK"
